The Epic Family Movie Specification

70-minute, finished Epic Family Movie™ shot in High Definition. Delivered in Blu Ray or standard DVD format.
Management of the Memory Catcher Weekend™ event. All event arrangements* handled and presented to you for approval, from invitations to dinner menu.
Onsite management and organization of home movies, photos, genealogical documents.
Event management of the Family Movie Premiere™ night. All arrangements* handled from the booking of the theater location to the “after party” event.
Cinematography team, covering sound, light, camera and direction. Up to 5 days of shooting at different locations with different subjects.
Access by the client to the movie editing process with the Executive Director to provide the maximum satisfaction in the final product. Up to 100 hours of editing time.
Fully licensable music for the client approval. Up to 40 minutes.
Access to the Tree Ring Films special effects portfolio for customization.

The Epic Family Movie™ does not include:

All costs associated with the creation and execution of the Memory Catcher Weekend™ or Family Movie Premiere Night™ such as; invitations, sleeping rooms, meals, event planning, photography, music, flowers, event spaces and other associated expenses for the family.
All costs associated with the transportation, travel, and lodging of the Tree Ring Films camera team. A custom team would consist of 3 members.
All costs associated with the transportation, travel, and lodging of the Tree Ring Films project manager for the Memory Catcher Weekend™ and the Family Movie Premiere Night™.
Cost incurred by the client for participating in the editing suite sessions such as transportation, lodging, and meals.

Epic Family Movie™ budgeting for projects completed in 2012 starts at $68,800. In order to ensure the highest quality and craftsmanship we will only accept 3 additional Epic Family Movie™ projects to be delivered in 2012. We are also scheduling for 2013 now.

The Epic Family Movie™ Legacy Documentary

The Memory Catcher Weekend™

Tree Ring Films™ creates a memory “reunion” where family members are invited to an Inn, Bed and Breakfast, or featured resort or hotel for a fun weekend of contributing photos of ancestors, movies, genealogy documents, and story suggestions. Using ISES (International Special Event Society) members, we help you craft an incredible family celebration weekend. Our mission is to help you create excitement over the Epic Family Movie™ project and gather materials from the family.

Film Day

Our Executive Director will work closely with the movie’s subjects with our unique “question wave” technology that ensures a high level of comfort in front of the camera. Our process for unscripted story telling will provide the maximum engaging the subjects as well as the movie’s audience. No scripts. Nothing to memorize. We are not investigative reporters. We are your personal biographers providing the time and place to capture the past for the future.

The Editing

Tree Ring Films offers the opportunity for the client to participate in the editing process of the movie. We will provide the client with total access to be involved in the pre edit phase, music selection, and the final edit phase with all interviews, B-Roll (e.g., accompanying photos, slides, movies etc) and animation. And of course, we provide the client with final sign off.

Family Movie Premier Night™

Tree Ring Films will manage a movie premier event that will introduce your family’s story in a private theater environment. In addition, we can produce a premier party afterwards for those who want the celebration to continue into the night.
